Walk for Wellbeing
On Thursday, October 10th, 2024 – World Mental Health Day, Our Wonderful fundraiser and Supported Self Help practitioner Dan be walking 20 miles (that’s 55 laps!) around the Somerset Cricket Ground to raise funds for Mind in Somerset.
This isn’t just a challenge of endurance—it’s a powerful symbol of the repetitive struggles that accompany mental health challenges.
As he walks in circles, he will be reminded of the daily battles many face when dealing with mental health issues—feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
But this event is also about promoting hope and the simple things we can do to take care of our well-being: getting fresh air, staying active, and pursuing our passions.
He is inviting 55 people/Businesses to join him – one for each lap—to show the importance of connection and conversation. Together, we’ll show how talking with someone can lighten our loads and break those daunting cycles.
Let’s not only raise awareness but also foster understanding and support for one another. Because often, it’s easier when we’re not alone on the journey.
Let’s walk, talk, and inspire hope together!
If you’re able to donate to this important cause, I invite you to do so. Your support means the world to us and is crucial in helping us continue our vital services in the local community.
